no u cant use the Verizon version of it cause they are on cdma network and cingular is on gsm network(use sim card) but you can buy a gsm verion of it on places like ebay. just search for Chocolate GSM. i think the gsm version is not that expensive. its about $300. :-)

first of all, the chocolate as well as verizon does not use sim cards.

verizon uses CDMA technology which means that it encrypts, compresses & then transmits your call.

cingular uses GSM (sim technology) which everything being embedded upon the card to transmit data upon time intervals.

Only Verizon, Sprint, & Alltel ( in some places) use CDMA. T-Mobile, Cingular, & Nextel use GSM.

therefore, the sim card would serve no purpose & the chocolate is a verizon "only" exclusive. so no other carrier will have it. in other words, no sim version or gsm type phone will be released.

No. Verizon phones do not use sim cards. They use a different type of technology all together.

You can't use any phone except the ones Tracfone offers for Tracfone. Trust me, I have gone through the exact same thing as you.
