Since my teens I have always had bad hearing in my left ear. Very annoying in environments which are slightly noisy (bars abd pubs) as I have to keep asking people to repeat the question or turning my "good" ear to face them. Lip reading has become a oddly aquired skill!

Can it be cured?

I'm not looking for a Yes/No answer, rather perhaps details of a similar experience or an idea as to the condition it might be.

do you REALLY think that this is the right place for your question? Go see an ear-nose specialist, it may be curable, depending on what is wrong with your ear, but you certainly wont find out here.

That is something only a doctor can answer, one who is trained, licensed, and qualified to give medical advice, NOT people on this site who have no idea of the problem, the solution, OR you and your medical history. PLEASE consult a doctor!!

Chow!!
