I graduated high school back in 1993, so perhaps how things work have changed.

Back then, you needed a work permit from your school to work during the school year. Go talk to the school's administrator in the principal's office and ask. They should know. Otherwise, the suggestion about checking out the Wisconsin labor department was a good one.

Go to your states government site and look up Labor Laws it should list everything that you need to know, I know that in most states it's not just how many hours they can work but also what times of days like here they can't work past 8 pm. Best of Luck
