Sounds like you have post nasal drip that's irritated your throat; probably a sinus problem or infection. First, get a decongestant of some sort and up your clear fluids (no sodas). This will make the mucous thin and easy to blow out and cough up. Take aspirin if you can with food to help your throat (it's an anti-inflammatory) with food, please. Good old fashioned chicken soup helps too! You can sip hot tea to ease the throat. The headache will be helped by the aspirin also. If you are having "multi-colored" mucous, go see a doctor cause you definitely have an infection. If you're running a heater at night, use a humidifier to keep your nasal passages and throat from drying out. Godloveya.

Sounds like a typical cold. and progression through a cold. I would recommend Tylenol with sudafed (covers headache and running/stopped up nose). It would also help a sore throat. Next, a hot cup of tea. If you don't have to be at work, curl up on a comfy couch with a warm blanket and watch some TV or movies and just rest and relax.

Sounds like a cold! Unless nose drainage is yellow or green..Then it is infection.
If just a clod, lots of liquids, over the counter meds like benedryl, and Robutussin DM ,,If you live near a Dollar General Store, they carry both in store brands for only a dollar each!
If you are having a dry cough, or conjestion that won`t losen up get a humidifier in your bedroom. That will help!
I will be praying for you as well... Rev.Susan M.A./ CNA/ PT / Med Student!

Drink tea with honey instead of sugar. It'll help the sore throat and it'll help fight whatever infection you may have. Oh yeah, you have a cold, so take vitamin C three times a day with each meal.

Its some hard flu.
Take boiled lemon, chop it to small pieces with the outer skin. Add some ginger and some garlic. Dont use powder, just boil raw and fresh. Take the mix, sweetened with honey. If you can you can chew some garlic. U will be well.

The mucus is what's irritating your throat. For temporary relief gargle with warm salt water. This really works as old fashoin as it may sound.

I have the same thing. It is an allergy. Try some Tylenol Allergy. Also you may want to take Robitussin DM if you have a cough with it.
