Sorry, friend. The last two years in my classroom, the person w/the best penmanship has been MALE.
Here's the real question: in 10 years of teaching I have noticed that the brightest students consistently and unerringly have the worst handwriting. Is there a correlation between above-average intellect and poor fine motor skills?

I have a perfect handwriting and I am not a woman. I also know to other women who have the worst handwriting ever. What is true is that women proffessors are more lenient than men proffessors and also that the ones who follow a carreer as a doctor transform their handwriting to the worse.

Hahahah!
After 40 years teaching I can tell you that I have seen thousands of women whose handwriting was virtually unintelligble! I think that in lower grades girls have better hand coordination than boys, but by college, bad hand writing is an equal opportunity disability.

its not that women only have a nice handwriting,if this is the case wht do u say about artists! its just a matter of concentration, guys generally ignore these simple things.even i used 2 have a nice handwriting, being a doctor it became bad enough.women generally have skillfull hands.there is a saying that a doctor should have have a lady like hands.

It's a product of the way we think.
Guys generally just want to communicate something and be done with it. It's the same reason most men talk less than most women
Women actually take the time to develop their writing skills because they see writing as something beautiful.

I have seen men with very nice handwriting, but are embarrased by it because they think it's too feminine. I have also seen some women who could out-do any man in a chicken scratching contest any day of the week.

Women in general care more about appearance of writing because its just something we do. Men are in a hurry to get work or whatever done. Its just like getting dressed make you own assumptions with that being said!

women are more attentive to the smaller and finer exactitude of things and as a result generally have a more regular and rounded handwriting. This is not necessarily to be quoted as being the norm as many men have beautiful calligraphy and just as many women leave undecipherable ink traces over innocent white sheets.

Some men have lovely handwriting - just depends on the person and how much care they took while learning to write and how much they care about neatness now.
