I just recieved my employer ID, and registered business name. I applied recently because I been self employed for 15 years for tax purposes and banking. Now what??!! Is this something that could expand my business oppurtunities? How? What is it used for?

The Business ID only says you are serious about your business

The greatest thing you can do for your business is acquire a domain name and create a website, once you create the website then you can market at first by sending your URL to search engines such as yahoo, google, finally you can develop a banner ad and buy and sell advertising with other sites

Is also the number the government will use if anyone working for you files for unemployment or disability.

you answerd your own question, your ss, is for indv. taxs purp. and your Federal OR EMPLOYER ID NO. AKA FIN SO YOU MAY FILE TAXES FOR THE BUSINESS
