In front of the garage, there are two joints where the pieces just barely reach each other. Also, there's a little bit that's caroded so water can drip out. I was thinking brown (the gutters are brown) plastic (electrical) tape for a temporary fix 'cause I haven't got the money right now to do it correctly. Any other ideas for quick cheap fixes to my gutters?

YES--quick and cheap! Go to any home supply store--they have a special product that can be cut and trimmed to any size (it comes in about 3" x 6" pads) peel off and adhere to the inside of the gutter. I don't know the name of the product but i fixed a rusted corner joint and a 12" rust on my gutters 8 years ago and it's still holding strong. Ask for Gutter Repair Kit--cost less than $10 Bucks!! :-)

Unscrew the hangers on one of the gutters and slide it toward the other. then buy Caulk, like you would put on your bathtub (youcan get it in most any color) and fill the holes. Electrical tape will peel off eith the first rain.

If your going to reseal a old gutter you better make sure it is 100% clean and dry before making the seal or you will be in the same place you were before in no time.

You should try caulking. I had some that were leaking at the joints and put caulking on them and sealed up just fine.
