I didnt get the party with the white dress and maids, i didnt want that, we were court,and i'm not looking for fantasies...i'm just looking to connect with him and have passion, and be the best of frnds with him in every aspect. I point out scences from the movies or whatever, b/c I dont know how to exprs myself with him or show him. It;s just for some ideas to start, i know eventually we can come with our own way of romance from a start.He's difficult to communicate with, b/c he knows so much b/c he's older than me. that's his view..I just feel like we're only together b/c of our kids and b/c we care about each other, but I thought love is about respecting each other's thoughts and feelings and needs rgrdls of how old u are or that ur more exp. I'm open and I listen to him all the time, but when it comes to me he already knows what i'm gonna say so he cuts me off when i speak. then jumps and is comp off of what i'm sayin.I thought love is being equal and open with each other.Right?

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Honey, why did you marry this jerk you describe???? You need to get some self respect and be heard. Your voice should be 1/2 of the marriage. It's your life as well as his, don't settle for less. If he can't handle it, pack up the kids & move forward....

You need to change the way you talk to him. When you are talking to him just ask he to let you finish your thoughts that you are speaking. Tell him you feel that when he cuts you off like he does that you feel like your his child and not his wife.
Speak and demand to be heard. Marriage is a two way street not one way as he is trying to make it.
Don't think of how to please him. Think of what needs to be done to please yourself first. Pleasing each other become easy when both are happy.
