Please don't lower the level of Q/A to that idiots level. I know why you're asking...just report the guy for not asking questions and leave it at that. I choose not to appeal to the lowest common denominator of our society.

To drive the Radical Republicans out of the South.

However, I must remind you that the Republicans weren't as Conservative then as now. Similarly, Democrats were in no way Liberal, and at that Southern Democrats were nothing like Democrats. They were simply named so because they voted Democratic, as they had no intentions of ending slavery.

And if you remember, most Southern Democrats and former Klansmen became Republicans after they saw the Democratic Party begin to get more involved with the Civil Rights Movement, such as with Kennedy and Johnson.

But to be honest with you, while the Democratic party was created by the KKK, neither party supports them. Similarly, they vote for those who have similar views to them or will help them in the long run. With that said, unfortunately for you, most are registered under Republican.

You cannot blame the party of today for the actions of the party of the past. Ideas were different and there was a major shift. The Democrats represented who the Republicans represent now. Your question has no logic nor does it have any trace of intelligence.
