Jimmy Choo's baby - wow...

Here's what you do. He may be giving you a gift, thinking that this is what every girl wants right?

So when he gives them to you, say thank you and wear them. You'd be crazy not too. Your feet will hurt by the end of the night, but you'll be gorgeous.

If he continues to attempt to clothe you for dates, then he'll have to cut his losses on the Choos and you've got a new pair of shoes to impress other men!

Heck yeah. But why is a guy buying you shoes before you have even gone on a first date? Not that I would mind getting some Jimmy Choo shoes anytime.

I would think back and picture the shoes you were wearing when he asked you on the date/when he met you. Were they really that bad? From what my wife tells me, Jimmy Choos cost about £250 a pair (or that's what she says she paid - is she fibbing?), so why doesn't he buy you something that will not get you questioning his motives...if he feels that he has to buy you an expensive present?

As tempted as I'd be (Jimmy Choos are beautiful!), I'd have to decline the shoes and probably the date. If he's picked out something for you to "wear for him" and it's only the first date, he may be expecting a tad bit more than interesting dinner conversation.

Depends. How long have I known him -- is he a friend and we're just starting to date, or is he just some guy that I met? And how did he present the shoes -- "I saw these and thought of you, I'd love to see you in these" or "Here, these are for you to wear (tomorrow night/whenever)". Are they a true gift, or are they something that *must* be worn? Pushing something on someone isn't cool, or romantic, but genuine hope that she'd enjoy something is.

Anyway, that's a heck of a gift, especially for a first date! But if I knew enough about the guy to know that he wasn't just some shoe freak and actually thought about me and what I'd like rather than some self-absorbed fantasy (thought there's nothing wrong with a little fantasy fulfullment, I just don't want it to be the *only* reason for the gift), I'd definitely wear 'em. If a guy was into me enough to pick me up a pair of shoes that he thought I'd like, I'd work 'em! After a hearty and sincere "thanks!"

Oh I wish!!! I think that is really sweet, especially if he knows you and that you LOVE shoes. Just be certain that he is not trying to buy you and also that you will not have to "pay him back in kindness" for them.

He is either really into you or a closet cross-dresser who was a shoe obsession and is living his shoe fetish through you (which I doubt!!!) I honestly doubt the guy is a freak because then you would not have gone on the date in the first place.

So all I have to say is enjoy the date and enjoy the shoes...one thing you can be certain of is that the man has good taste.

That's really odd don't you think? I would not even date this man, ever, Jimmy Choos or not, he has another motive which he has not revealed to you yet. Could be a foot fetish, could be a control issue...who knows. Don't be taken just cause this oddball can afford $500 shoes.

Don't worry. If pointy toed shoes entirely covered all your toes they would loose there sleekness and "edge". Thats totally normal to have your toes showing and Jimmy Choo's should never make your feet look bad no matter what type you have.

I would accept them, then if after our first date if he was a bit of a wierdo I would tell him that I thought he was a really nice guy, but that I wasn't really ready for a relationship just at the moment.................and hope he didn't ask for them back!

I'm not usually that shallow but Jimmy Choos are BEAUTIFUL and I can't afford to buy any myself!!!

I don't know. Did he buy them expecting you to wear them? I mean, that's an extravagant gift from a man you haven't even been out with yet. Is this the early indicator that the guy is a control freak or is he just a very generous sort of person? You have to decide.
