Your so right Yahoo`s attitude about this is like Hitler re-born...If some one complains then you are auto matically deducted 10 points and question removed..I have tried to get a reply from Yahoo for over a week when I contested this happening to me....either police the answers forum fairly or don't do it at all...P.S there is a guy got several questions on the go at the moment full of effing and blinding and that hasn't been removed...stupid or what...

Unfortunately, it only takes one or a couple of bitches to report you for whatever they choose to in order for you to lose points. They can even report questions, again for any reason. Just a couple of months ago, I posted a video from YouTube, more comedic than political, and the question was removed before probably one or two answers could be posted. It's not Y!A, it's the people on Y!A who report anyone who doesn't believe what they do.

Free speech is a term regarding the governments ability to censor what is said. Not that everyone has to listen to your thoughts. Yahoo is free to take points away for inappropriate
answers.

In Israeli media websites "an option is given" to post a comment. When you post your comment, you are warned that "not every comment is going to be published...", and "comments which are offensive and inappropriate" would not be published. In practice, they usually publish comments full of hatered towards the "right ones" in their twisted political view. This includes inappropriate words. Right to free speech? Tell this "joke" to those responsible for the Israeli media.

I lost 20 points for 2 different questions that I asked about Yahoo Answers. The questions were very basic, inquiring about fines. ironic, huh? You can't say anything at all that questions the integrity of this site, or they fine you. Days, or weeks later. One of the questions had already been resolved when I recieved the fine. Sucks.

YA isn't the keeper of 'free speech'. If you think your free speech right has been compromised, sue them. Oh, and do you hear 'free speech' on mainstream tv shows? No, the FCC makes sure of that. Do you see it in your local newpaper. No, the editors have a job, and one of them is to limit your free speech.

They have the power and they're not afraid to use it. You are entitled to your opinion as long as it doesn't upset someone!
So how many cats can you get in a microwave? I managed 8.
