You will probably think its nuts a guy answering this kind of question but i speak the truth when i say this happened to me and my current partner so i have some idea of what you want to know.
Like probably others here the best advice is to go see your ob/gynaecologist, tell them whats been going on and that you think you may again be pregnant.
It could just be you menstrual cycle needs to recouperate itself again whence the no period dilema.
It certainly was the case for us, we waited about six to eight weeks beofre trying again, now we are about to go for our 5 month scan to see our new babiy again and hopefully see if we got a boy or a girl, so bye all means get urself checked out professionally, it cant hurt to just enquire.
Good luck though for the future, as you can see there is a light at the end of this.

The same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. They usually advise waiting until you have had one regular period after a miscarriage before trying to concieve. That way it gives your uterus time to get back to normal and build up a healthy lining. It was 4 1/2 weeks before I got a period. My next period was late and I took a pregnancy test... 6 infact, all negative. I got my period, again it was at 4 1/2 weeks so thats telling me my body is a little out of synch at the moment. Best thing to do is take a test its the only way you will put your mind at rest. Good luck!

You could be pregnant again. Usually you should wait about 4-8 weeks after a miscarriage before trying to get pregnant. Some doctor's recommend waiting until the miscarriage term would be up if the baby had been carried full term. You need time to heal and build your body back up. Take your time and be careful of your health and nutrition. I am sorry for your loss,

It takes a while for your body to get back to normal again. The pregnancy hormones are still strong in your body and it may take you a while to conceive. You may even still show a positive pregnancy test because the hormones are still present.
They do say that the majority of women who have miscarriages are pregnant again by the due date of their lost baby. It may take a while though, After losing my baby at 14 weeks in May last year, I didn't have a period for 2 months and we are still trying, sadly with no success. But hopefully soon!

This may sound unbelievable but its true. After miscarrying, I too had a d and c. The surgeon who operated found signs of another pregnancy whilst he was operating. They never told me this until 10 weeks later when I had a threatened miscarriage and was rushed to hospital. ( I was bleeding heavily but had no idea why), after a scan the doc told me I was 11 weeks pregnant and explained that after my first baby died inside me, and I thought I was still pregnant with it, my body went back to normal and I concieved again. My daughter now 15, was the pregnancy they saw when they completed the first d and c and decided not to tell me as they thought she wouldnt survive the op.

i was in the exact same situation you are in now a few years ago.
you should have had a period by now.you should have been told to waittill you had your first period before trying again to let your body get over what has happened and resume to normal.it can also take a while emotionally and mentally to get over your loss, it took me a year!
if you havent had a period yet i would take a test to make sure if i were you, cos it sounds like you could be.
im sorry for your loss and wish you all the luck in the world for your next pregnancy.good luck!!

medics recommend that when you suffer a miscarriage you should wait a year to let your body grieve and get used to being normal again, there is also a very high chance you will suffer from depression has your body and hormones will be all over the place.

5 weeks is still pretty soon after the fact, and your body might not have recovered entirely yet, hence your lack of menses.

However, nil desperandum...keep trying, keep positive, and I'm sure you'll be pregnant again in no time.
