Since CDEF is a square, it is very natural that
angle (CDE) = angle (DEF) = angle(EFC) = angle(FCD) = 90

angle (FCD) = 2x + 45
therefore,

2x + 45 = 90

2x = 45

x = 22.5 degrees

The value of x = 22.5 degrees

A square has 4 angles, each of which is 90 degrees, so
the angle FCD = 90 degrees.

2x + 45 = 90
2x = 45
x = 22.5 degrees

If your figure is a square, angle FCD must be 90 degrees.

So 90=2x+45
45 = 2x
x = 22.5
