World Peace is only attainable by a Positive Establishment of an Attitude to Coexist in Equality - and as long as there are politicians and religious fanatics [each with their own personal axe to grind !], no individual will ever be allowed to meaningfully contribute to it !
All any individual can do, is to try keep one's peace with one's own neighbours - but even that would prove futile, if the neighbours are a self-centred, ill-mannered lot, who do not care about trampling anyone who dares come in their way...
...Theories are 'cool' and sound nice, but putting them into practice in one's everyday existence is not !

You don't have much control about what goes on over there, even if you flew over there. You can promote world peace and tolerance in your own country though. SHow people that you are open minded and hopeful for world peace and encourage them to do the same.

Write to your house representative and bring the troops home. Writing to your rep has gone so out of fashion that nowadays one letter from a constituant represents at least a hundred unwritten letters and they know that. So write!
