Haley Barbour's friends include George Bush and Dick Cheney, who are shamelessly supporting Barbour's campaign for Governor of Mississippi, a state with a history of white racism and KKK activity. Bush's grandfather also supported white racists -- he financed the Nazis during WWII.

The percentage of Republicans who are white is so embarrassing that the figure is not published. In a typical election over 85% of blacks vote democratic. The percentage of Republicans who are male is also unknown but would appear to be about 80%.

George Bush became president only through the disenfranchisement of black voters in Florida. At least 120,000 mostly black voters were deprived of their right to vote in a state that has a history of disenfranchising black voters. The indifference of the Republicans to this fact and their near-violent opposition to a fair revote, which, God knows, they would have lost, highlights their disregard of the rights of black and minority voters.

Republicans hypocritically patronize blacks and other minority voters to try to get enough votes to squeak into office, then they routinely oppose all policies that help the poor and support all policies that enable the rich to get richer at the expense of the poor.

And Bush's grandfather's actions mean what, exactly? Do they have any relevance? If so, try using facts and logic and reason to explain how Bush's grandfather's investment in a European steel manufacturer, who supported Hitler until the Nazis went too far, means anything regarding GW Bush and his policies.

Haley Barbour is a governor. But in the South, it was the Democrats who were the party of the Confederacy, slavery, segregation, Jim Crow laws and the KKK, not the Republicans. So what does Haley Barbour have to do with anything?

Does the fact that Ted Kennedy's father was a criminal gangster who also supported the Nazis have any bearing on Ted's current criminal insanity?

Does the fact that Al Gore's father was a segregationist who voted against black civil rights have anything to do with Gore's current enviro-lunacy?

Not sure what you think the monolithic voting of the blacks means. But if you think the GOP panders to blacks, you are oblivious to the obvious paternalistic degradation with which they are treated by Dems.

120,000 disfranchised blacks in Florida? Amazing that over the past 6 years, the Democrats have been unable to find even one, let alone the fictional 120K. LOL!

Someone has been stuffing your fool head with a lot of lies and falsehoods about 2000 and the GOP. And you are gullible enough to parrot those lies without verifying them.

Incorrect, Bush's grandfather did business with the Germans during the 30s, if you recall the Nazis were the Government at that time. He did no business with them after we entered the war. If the palestinians truly want peace they could have had it anytime. Bush has only been president 8 years, the conflict in the Middle East has been going on a lot longer. So don't blame Bush for the conflict.

"The percentage of Republicans who are white is so embarrassing"

Why do you hate yourself so?

I wonder what percentage of United ***** College Fund recipients were black? Would that number also be embarassing? Is it so wrong to want a place to call our own? I am not talking about Canada either, it's too damn cold. Why would having a large percentage of white membership be embarassing? Why is diversity so coveted by the Democrats? It's really only to steal their votes. What did the welfare state do, but re-enslave minorities?

Ok well, do you want to get blamed for something your grandfather did? Are all descendents of Nazi's influenced by Nazism?

And also, are you saying those 80% white males are racist and therefore part of the Republican party? I sure dont think so. Stop viewing a minority part of the Republican party as the representative of their entire party. Mississippi has a history of racism...should neither party not support anyone in that state?

Im Democrat minority btw.

Whine whine whine. No one stopped any voters--unless you count the Dems in WI slashing tires of the Rep's vans used to take ALL voters to the polls.

I am sorry you feel that supporting the black voters by acknowledging that they are just as capable as their white counterparts (IE-no racial quotas--you can do this on your own merits without 'special' consideration) is patronizing them. I also find it appalling that Dems make black Republicans to feel as if they're traitors for following their own convictions. It would seem that your party is really guilty of patronizing the black voters.

Truth be told it is the Dems who keep blacks enslaved in reinforcing the non-fact that they are less capable (and therefore NEED government handouts) and that if they chose to use their own mind when it comes to politics that they are somehow disloyal to 'their own". BS!!!!

But then if you can keep the black population in poverty by allowing them only to subsist on your 'handouts'--you can assure yourselves their continued support. Just don't let them think for themselves!

Oh you mean by appointing the first African American as Secretary of State? Or the second one, being a female?
Or do you mean like Al Franken who once had about 100 staff members--not one being African American, in NYC? Probably no good candidates huh?
Or Byrd, the pride of the Democratic Party, dry cleaning his hood? So you hold what Bush's grandfather did accountable toward Bush, but not what Byrd stood for personally? Hmmm. Propaganda it works!!

your facts are skewed a touch , those numbers can be changed to suit any low income group , you are a rasicist , I dont vote republican but what you are saying is rascist hatered, and if the bush family was so supportive of the nazis why do they now support isreal ?? I think you are bitter about the things that have gone down in our country , and it may suit your arguement a little better if you make the attempt to educate yourself on the facts and dont just spout off some meaningless banter that acctually makes you look like the rascist ...........

And one of the biggest Nazi sympathizers of the era was Joseph Kennedy Sr. People on both sides of the aisle were duped by the Nazis and did business with them. Your point is irrelevant. If you're going to blame the sons for the sins of the fathers then you have to apply it across the board.

How do you explain the 15% of blacks who vote Republican? And where do you get your figure of 80% male Republicans? Bizarro World?

This is getting old. Bush is in office and there is nothing you can do about it, so get over it and live your life. He will be out in a couple of years and you can complain about the next Republican president since that is all you libs know how to do.
