I have heard that as well. It is very unfortunate that individuals feel that way. The reason many black dems feel that way is because republicans typically go against social programs, affirmative action, etc. Often times these programs are not a hand up they are a handout. These programs including welfare and affirmative action have created a black dependancy on the system. I am a Black Republican and I feel that people need to be held more accountable for their actions and not keep blaming the system for their problems. Many blacks who happen to be democrats feel that these programs are necessary and that they could not survive without them. Anything or anyone who would cut these benefits to them is evil in their eyesight.. and if you are a black.. they feel you are an uncle tom because you are suppsoed to " know the struggle" and be sympathetic to their plight.

Because they sell out their own people. Clarence Thomas is a good example. What has he done for his own race? He would repeal civil rights legislation if he could.
