It helps in that it clears the nasal passages. The cold will still last the same length of time but not cause as much distress

I tried it once when I had a cold and I was almost carried out, I got very dizzy and faint. I dont know if the cold had anything to do with it or if it was too hot, but I havn't been in a sauna since. It put me right off :(

A sauna is going to have no effect on the virus causingyour cold whatsoever. If a sauna makes you feel better, then go ahead and enjoy it. As always, be careful not to overdo it, and stay well-hydrated.

that is debatable....../The heat could cause infection to grow, but the moisture could relieve congestion and be good for the sinuses.
