YES with all of the new laws in place you need a passport to travel anywhere outside the US and expect to get back in!!!

You use to be able to have 2 forms of government ID's such as a Birth Certificate and Drivers ID but now you have to have a Passport, My husband just went to Canada less then a month ago.

Yes you do.

You can get the form for a passport at your post office. You will also need to fill out the form and have your birth certificate and two passprot photos. You can get the photos at Kinkos--or a similar place, or the post office itself, although they are less at Kinkos.

You will have to take your completed forms to the post office, or the federal court (contact the passport agency to see how things are done where you live) and have it completed there.

It takes about 6-8 weeks to get your passport back, or 2 weeks if you have it expeditied.

No. And I have never been asked for a passport upon my return. But I always carry it regardless of what country I go to...even Kentucky.
