If you think Gordon Brown would let you live in a cave without paying any tax you need a head scan super quick. This useless prick would invent a rock tax and no doubt charge you for having fresh air at your door every morning.....In the early days of England, he would have been 'Tarred and Feathered' long ago and not before time. Any hard-working person that supports the Labour Party obviously is quite unconcerned about their future and has a ball-bearing brain.....wake up and vote the bastards out before it's too late

I think it depends how advanced the council is, if they were all living in caves too then they would not be bright enough to charge, but then again, what am i talking about, the council was never formed in the first place!!!!! ???

Going back to those good old times and living even in a small community everyone would have had to contribute by doing chores like gathering wood, collecting food, making stone weapons , killing an animal etc .......and following a leader. Kind of a tax is it not ?

If the cave was owned by them then yes but they would have to know you were living in it.
