both, i think.
both are equally hard. to develop a routine or to get out of it, both would require some dtermination, alot of patience, will power, maybe some inspiration. you need to be focussed.
for example, making a routine of eating a salad(which you hate so much) every morning would be as hard as getting out of the routine of having a shower each morning (which you love)
or vice versa!!

It is my opinion that it is harder to develop a routine. Getting out of a routine hasn't been that difficult. So much less effort to quit doing something, that to continue doing it on a regular basis.

It is easier to get into a bad routine and out of a good one; conversely, it is harder to get into a bad routine and out of a good one. Here's why:

Bad routines are usually more appealing and take less effort (one of the reasons that they're more appealing), and good routines usually take alot more effort, planning and discipline.

Definitly harder to get out of a routine.

That's why habits are so hard to break. Humans are addicted to routine; Not drugs, smoking, drinking, eating, nail biting..... Routine is the biggest addiction of all!

Into a routine, because it is so hard to actually do the same thing day after day, especially when you're talking about going to work, I don't know about you, I hate getting up and going to work everyday. I like my job, I just like sleeping a little more!
