Im worried. I have to have scans done on my thyroid next wednesday. I have to get a pregnancy test on monday so they can do the scans. I ovulated 17-19 and am worried that if i am pregnant i wont be far enough along for them to see that im pregnant. How soon does a blood test show pregnany so i can ease my fears? I want to be pregnant, but i dont want any harm caused to the baby from the scans. My husband are ttc.

I forgot to mention... i only have until next friday to get this done due to insurance expiring.

scans are harmless,in pregnancy its only xrays you need worry about

Can you move the scan back far enough? I don't know for sure how soon a blood test can pick it up, maybe 14 days maybe earlier.

I had done the tyroid scan
the test is just a precaution
tell the doc what you just ask us and they will make sure to do the test accordingly

I think that the blood test can show pg as early as 2-5 days after conception.
