they are not talking crap as there is a speaker that makes the noise for the indicators - it is built in to the cim(column integrated module) just behind the steering wheel into the indicator and wiper stalks are fitted - these units did give a lot of trouble in the earlier models causing all sorts of problems - non start etc - i wouldn`t be surprised if the speaker is acting up - if you take it to your dealer they can plug the computer on to it and test the speaker - but it may not act up

In older cars the "tick" was the noise made my the relay that caused the indicators to flash.
In modern cars, the flashing is controlled by electronics, which don't tick. In order to provide an audible notification of the indicators being in use, a small speaker is used to create an artificial tick.
The same system can also give other audible warnings, such as a seat-belt chime, or a bleep when a warning light illuminates, or a lights-on reminder.
You may have a problem with the audible warning system.

They are ECU ( electronic control unit) controlled and not powered through a relay unit which ticks. They are also soft a touch stalk system which I find a pain!!!!

dont look at above thay are all talking cra!
they are still on rela system whitch is part of the fuse box
check the relays or get a new one and replace
