I would like to think that morals and values were still alive in America, but I have been proven wrong time and time again by our two party system. True, it states "illegal" who have no rights, and immigrants who fall under "permanent resident" status. Immigrants who are legal residents of the United States, who pay taxes. Though I understand that as a permanent resident, one cannot vote in national elections, but it has not been clarified if that is true for local and state.
