Having a yeast infection can be painfull, but you can treat it easily. It will make you itch like crazy, & you will get a discharge. You can either treat it with Canesten, (cream or pessaries), or a usefull little trick which works is to put a little natural yoghurt on the end of a tampon, & place that in you. The yoghurt then attacks the infection. You can become ill from any infection if not treated, but some people react differently to yeast infections than others. The best way to avoid infections is to wear cotton knickers, & try stockings rather than tights. The bacteria breads in warm damp areas.

No it will not hurt you hun, it burns,it itches,if you over scratch it become raw and you risk infection,so don't scartch. Make sure you wear breathable cotton panties. There are a couple 1 day treatments but I recommend the 3 day atleast. Don't have sex as yeast infection are trasferable and men can infact get yeast infections for girls.Don't let your boyfriend preform oral sex either.
It's time you got a PAP SMEAR done,if don't know what that is...just ask here at yahoo answers!

No it cant unless left untreated....If this is the first time you have ever had one you need to go to your doctor and make sure thats what it is ...if you had one before just go buy some over the counter medication ...it should clear it up if not it may not be one ...so still go and see your doc....the symptoms are itching, irritating sensation, cottage cheese like or pasty discharge and sometimes it smells like yeast
