Could be the fissure, could be hemorrhoids. You don't necessarily need to go into the doctor. Just give him a call and ask if he thinks that you should come in again or wait for it to pass.

the pain you feel on passing a stool is a result of an anal fissure, which is a small tear in your anus. nothing to worry about, eat foods with plenty of fibre and it'll soften your stools, allowing the tear to heal. the dark colour is probably a result of your changing your diet and the booze weekend! i have black stools when i've been drinking red wine, and i've had an anal fissure, the symptoms were just the same as yours, so dont worry.

Could be a touch of piles, but do see your GP. He's very understanding - particularly as you seem to be making a real effort with diet, etc.

You must go to the doctor of course, to be sure....
But it sounds like you are dehydrated, comes from all the drinking
on your trip. You need to drink fluids. Being dehydrated leads to hard stools which lead to straining. Straining can either cause little tears as the hard stool exits, or even hemorrhoids, which can bleed. You will probably be ok,,, just rehydrate, and like I said, best to go to doctor to make sure nothing serious.
Good luck.
