99% of the time the canister/muffler/silencer is a slip on/bolt on design and you simply remove and replace.

If preserving the length of the pipe isn't a concern, a cut-off wheel works fast and clean. It's a thick stone disk that fits on the end of a drill. Wear eye protection.

If you need to preserve the length of the pipe or the mounting flange, then I would add heat and see if that helps, but it rarely does. But most of the time, it's easiest to just replace fused pipes and be done with it.

Loosen the clamps, remove the support brackets, pull off old.
To install new, reverse procedure.

If you know someone who has a laser set-up in thier backyard or garage, I would like to meet them.
