Every new decade usually brings a new trend, over the last two we have moved around the mobile and internet technologies.
We are over halfway through this decade so what do you think will be the main market driver throughout 2010 - 2020 are there any rumblings starting to be heard?

-plastic surgery, genetic engineering.
-getting rid of cash and cheques altogether and only paying electronically.
-the general public providing their own tv stations, based around home videos etc
-living in space.

In the next decade all education is going to be provided on the Internet. A lot of students won't be able to cope with it, as it will become a perpetual business programming, only those who can pay could have a chance of going through the exams.
Criminality will raise its head more than ever before, and who have a mobile today won't be of any good then, only guns shell be in the pockets of teens.

I personally think it's the environment. Electric/hybrid cars, home energy creation using solar/wind etc. and associated technologies e.g. Batteries, solar cells, home energy conversion units etc,etc, etc.
Don't blame me if I get it wrong though!!
