Because you don't want to believe that there is something that you just can't get your hands on. It drives you to try to get it even more.

Because it becomes better when it seems so far away...I learned this hard way & I don't regret it because I can apply it to my life now and understand how important open arms are & I know not to pass up a good thing.

Because if you can easily have something there is no joy derived from trying to attain it. When you know you can't have something it makes you determined to try and try till you get it.
