The Wii does *NOT* have a seperate area in which you put the GameCube discs - they go into the same slot!

Yes and the gamecube controllers will also work, as well as the WAVEBIRD wirless controller.
I might get the wii and play resident evil 4. I luve that game!
If you own a gamecube, you really should sell it in about a month, (unless you have the gameboy player, don't sell it) but not with your memory cards, the gamecube games still need it.
30 days till the launch!!!!!!!
Gamecube game i really recommend you to play:
Resident Evil
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil 4
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Zelda: Wind Waker
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Star Wars Rouge Leader
Star Wars Rebel Strike
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

The Nintendo Wii has a separate area in which the Gamecube discs can be inserted to play, so yes, it will play all Gamecube games. It also has a special port on it into which you can plug your gamecube controllers to play the gamecube games.
Hope this helps.
