Mathematics is actually the foundation for a lot of science, especially chemistry and physics. In fact, one branch of mathematics (called Calculus) was invented in order to do a specific piece of science (it was Newton, working on his theory of Gravity who did that). Science uses math to both predict what results will happen, and to describe things already observed. Both math and science are meant to be based on logic and reason, and on the physical world, rather than the emotional or spiritual world. Try looking up the mathematics and science of ancient Greece. That is fairly interesting, and it may get you started.

Methodology: Math uses rules & methods to find a solution, and science has a set of logical steps called the "scientific method".
Look through a physics texbook and you'll get the idea ! Science & math are related.
Both science & math are useful in trying to understand the physical and biological world, and our place in the universe.

I can only answer for the relation between physics and mathematics.

math is the second most pure form of study.

Philosophy is the most pure form of study. It is the study of stuff, with out any constraint of what that stuff is. You are allowed to think and solve problems about any thing.

Math you are confining your self to numbers and to logic. Simualrly you have to make a postulate. You must take something to be true inorder to do mathematics. (either you have to belive a priori [belive with out proof] that either the priniple of induction is true, or that the Well ordering principle is true) Once you have made this basic assumption about math, you can do it all. from there you can make any assumption that you want, and work out the results.

Physics you have to make even more assumptions. You have to assume that Newton s laws are true. (there is no way to prove that they are true except via experiment) same thing with maxwells equations, the theory of relitivity, schrodingers equation.

Basicly:
physicists are mathematitions who are confined to the laws of nature.

Mathemetitions are phillosophers that are confined to haveing to work with numbers.

Phillosophers are free thinkers that are allowed to ponder about anything and search for answers with no assumptions or constraints.

Both include computations and do require critical thinking. As quoted, "Mathematics is the language of science."

It kind of like the same thing as blonde and dumb. There is an undisputed correlation between the two.

well, it was taught to us that science is a branch of math. both deal with numbers, theories and such!!! AND BOTH ARE HARD!!!!
