I was backing out of my house and totally wiped out this "No Traffic" sign.

I ended up having to reverse to get my tire out of the stupid sand thing they use to hold down the sign.

Ahh... that's what happens when you leave your house at 1AM to get coffee!

This is a very good question; because I just had an incident this morning. I didn't sleep good at all; maybe got a total of 1-2 hours of sleep. All I did was toss and turn! Anyhow, I had to be at work early, so I stopped at a gas station to get something to drink and something with sugar. Well, I backed up and didn't see anything until I hit it. I backed up into a pole! This was a first for me; I've never done anything like that! So, feeling like a fool, I got out to access the damage; and thank goodness, there wasn't any! It didn't leave a mark on my vehicle or the pole, so I was happy. When I got to work, I called my boyfriend and asked him if I could get in trouble for hitting a pole and running. lol He didn't seem too amused. lol♥

When I first got my learner's permit, I was driving my friend's car & accidently went down the wrong street. We were looking for a house. I had to turn around on this street & backed up to do so into the only tree on the whole block. That was really stupid. The next thing I did, not too long after that, was run over my bicycle in our driveway. I was backing up and didn't see it there. Of course I left it there. I was the stupid, strange thing. But the strangest thing I ever hit with my car was an ostrich. I was driving down my country road on my way into town when I saw several of the neighbor's ostriches running loose across the road. The neighbor asked me & several others to help them with the capture by using our vehicles. We had one of them corralled & I was backed in. They asked me to just drive up a little so they could get through & get to the ostrich & I accidentally put it in reverse. Well, of course, I was backed into this spot & naturally hit the ostrich. It's a wonder I didn't hit my neighbor & the other people's vehicles. It was a tight spot we were all in. Anyway, the ostrich wasn't hurt too badly, thank goodness & they got the rest of the escapees running around out there. I can screw up even being a good samaritan. I have been good for about the last 15 years. No mishaps.

This is really sad but I ran over a family of rabbits that happened to be hopping into the middle of the road when I was driving with a carload of children. There is nothing like a traumatized car full of kids to make you feel like the worst mom in the world award should be arriving at your doorstep any day.

I hit a restaurant sign when backing out of the restaurant parking lot once. I sure felt like an idiot. I also backed into my brother's friends' car once (hey, I didn't realize he had parked behind me). I guess I should've looked, but usually there's nothing back there. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very good driving in reverse.

I hit a pheasant once and it stuck to my car all the way to my classes at the local community college. I was real embarrassed and some guys took pity on me and peeled it of f of the car.

Last year I was on the highway when there was a loud thump when a hunk of tire from a disintegrated semi truck tire hitting my roof denting it and leaving a big black mark.

My sister hit a parked car the day she got her driver's license in front of the police station she was leaving after taking her driver's test. Yes, she still got to keep her license.

1. I tried to pull (my moms car) into a parking spot that was too small cause one of the cars was over the line. I hit one of the cars, backed up, tried it again....I got that b*tch in there!! Then I went & told my mom she might want to go move her car.
2. Me & my husband were fighting in the driveway so I put my truck in reverse & nailed it!! It had a few thousand $$ in damage to it!
Those are both pretty funny stories now that I think about it!!

I cannot believe I'm admitting this.. but it's true. I was 15 and had just gotten my learner's permit. I was sent to the store with my younger brother who thought it was funny to tell me that I had just run over my cat. At that time... my cat was probably my favorite thing on Earth and I panicked. I put the vehicle in reverse... and ran over my Mom's car w/ my Dad's truck. That was pretty stupid... I should have know he was tricking me. I was in SO much trouble. So was he, once I got my hands on his scrawny little neck.
