what is an ingrown toe nail? my second toe hurts and the nail is kinda thick compared to the other toe nails..

and i am not sure if that's the problem..it pushes into the nail bed? what do u think?

an ingrown nail with infection will hurt, itll be red and swollen at the edge its ingrowing on, nail is usually sharply curved down.
