No. Doctors say that a baby cannot process whole milk at that age. Mix some cereal in with formula. Or just feed them infant cereal before giving their formula.

I don't think it necessarily needs to be whole milk. If you are nursing then breast milk works too (but warmed up). But if I may suggest...I find that after even 3 months giving a baby a little (about a two tablespoons -adjust as they gain weight and need more to feel fuller) of baby cereal right before they go to bed helps them to sleep through the night. I would think by 6 months you are already feeding baby cereal. Just give a little more in the last feeding of day... You will be amazed at how well they sleep! It is wonderful to have them sleeping through the night. Good luck!

No if you give your 6 month old whole milk they may life a lifelong of allergies and infections with food. They cannot process it. You should be breastfeeding but if you didn;t then only formula!!! Whole milk can be given at age 1 to 2 and never reduce the fat of the milk until they are at least 2 years old or it can impair brian development. Why would you even think whole milk would help them sleep and feel fuller. Formula or breast milk it is a 6 month old.

I know how it is when you put your baby to bed and they are still hungry. I had a 10lb 5oz son, 34 years ago. When I brought him home he was drinking 8oz of formula. That 8oz did not even fill him up. I decided that what I would do is add rice cereal in his formula. Rice is easy to digest for a babys tummy. Make the mixture more liquid so that they can suck thru the nipple of their bottle. If the mixture does not come out of the nipple easily, make a X cut on the nipple. I feel that the cereal would help your little one. I also do not suggest that you give your baby whole milk, you have to give the baby's insides time to adjust. I started giving my baby's whole milk when they were a year old. It is a rule of thought that once you start feeding them jar foods then you can give whole milk. Good Luck !!!

Why do you fel the need to "stuff" your baby? Making your baby feel so full is an aweful feeling and could make him cranky, don't bother.
Doing things like this has no scientific evidence to back it up proving that infants sleep better. His intestinal tract is still very immature and you will damage his flora lining by doing this.
Baby's wake from sleep for many other reasons that hunger. The night waking is a Primal Instinct, don't ignore it. Their needs are 24hrs and you as a parent need to be there.
I know your sleep is important too, so bring your baby in your bed with you, he'll sleep much better and his tummy will be safer that way :)

It isn't recommended to give infants under the age of 1 whole milk. If you do it could cause an allergy to cows milk. You could try some rice cereal. I used rice cereal with both of my children.

No, I do not think that you should because he is still very young and a question like that you need to asks the pediatrician.

What I would do is add cereal to his milk formula...

It depends on how big your baby is! Mine were big babies when they were born One was 9 lbs and the other was 11 Lbs at birth. I had them both on whole milk at 6 months and it didn't hurt them at all. My doctor had a fit but I told him who is feeding this child you or me? If they eat properly they will be fine! If your baby has teeth and ahead of schedule then he is fine to put on whole milk! I wouldn't worry! Cause we sneak table food tasting in at this age too. Just weenie him into it a little at a time!!

No Nada, No, Zip!!!!!! Baby's tummy isn't ready for cow's milk (whole milk) unitl at least 12 months old. Their stomach isn't able to process it yet and giving them cow's milk before a year old can increase their risk of lactose intolerance.
