A good talk with friends always helps me then a good cry to let all the pent up emotion out. Try to look at things differently and think of the people who are worse off than you. Things will get better for you, you're just experiencing a rough patch at the moment and you need to take the time to give yourself a little TLC. Keep your chin up and i hope you're feeling better soon. Good Luck x

Don't take yourself so seriously. We all get in a funk occassionaly. I find it helps to find something to do with my mind and hands---get busy. Of course this applies if the problemremains minor. Should these bouts of depression increase and become more prolonged, get medical help. You could be suffering from a chemical imbalance which can easily and successfully be treated with the proper medication.
For a great temporary fix, do something silly like wiggle your butt and have a good laugh at yourself.

Everyone is entitled to feel down at some point or another, why not just face the feeling and work through it? If you want a distraction try exercise, voluntary work with those less fortunate, singing or listening to your fave music, talking with friends, venting on Yahoo7 answers..lol..whatever makes you happy.

First I would like to know if you have been doing things you enjoy? I find I get more depressed if I'm in the house too much, that is to say if I am not doing things I enjoy, but instead am doing the same ole thing day after day, it will make me blue. So, my advice would be to break away from the norm.

put the radio on and dance away to a 'happy' song! Get out for a walk you will be surprised what that does for mild depression! Even if it is just up the road to the shop and back...your brain needs distracting and stimulation....get out there and exercise it!

Exercise releases some hormone into the brain (i forget which) which helps relieves depression. Find someone good at listening and talk to them. Find something positive about each and every situation. I find looking after my cats helps me stay motivated.
