cold and cough?

winter is starting now.from now i caught cold.having losts of medicine.please somebody teach me how to get rid from this.

The best way to prevent coughs and colds is to maintain your health: get plenty of sleep, eat a well balanced diet, exercise. Use good common sense also: wash hands often, limit exposure to those you know are ill, and be aware when in large groups that these gatherings are often breeding grounds for germ exposure. Don't become a recluse in winter, just be aware and careful. Get the flu shot - it will protect against flu and gives some immunity to other cold viruses in some cases. If you are prone to pneumonia, you can also get the pneumonia vaccine. Most of all, get medical attention for colds or congestion that do not go away. Antihistamines and decongestants can relieve annoying symptoms, but it just takes time for a cold to resolve.

Most people with colds does have lots of medicines.The reason for that is people think that a cold medicine will take the cold away or make them feel much better.Thats wrong.Cold medicines may relieve a little bit of your cold symtoms but not enough to make you feel real good and there is no cold medicine that will take your cold away.myself I dont bother buying any kind of cold medicine.A average cold last for 2 days to 2 weeks.Grab the box of kleenex tissues and wait it out.Hope you feel better soon.

with a cold you have to let it take its course. Plenty of rest, plenty of fluids are the best way. Drink orange juice, vitamin c, tea w/lemon and honey (or w/o the honey if you are not a fan of honey).

if you are taking cold medicine, my fav is alka selzter cold and cough. Also good is Nightquil and Dayquil.
