Believe it or not, its probably Hall & Oates. They've sold over 60 million albums worldwide, hold the record for most top 40 hits (with 29) and have had 8 number one singles. Oh Oh here she comes...watch out boys she'll chew you up...

C'mon..you know the words.

Do you mean a regular duo(simon and garfunkel) or when two solo artists come together to form a duo(McCartney and Jackson) or a singing duo within a group(Lennon and McCartney)?

For individual record singles sales then I think this is Robson and Jerome.

Worldwide sales may be the Everley Brothers.

UK total sales may be Wham! but I am not 100% sure on any of this.

more than likely they would give one of you a contract, and not the other one. thats usually how the music industry works. there are no rules. if you are good enough to be marketed and sell albums, then it could happen. tatu got their single out when they started making out with each other. people like girl on girl. just a suggestion if you want to get a labels attention. good music should get a contract, but it doesn't. look at justin bieber

I think the most successful duet ever is "I Know Him So Well" by the mighty Page and Dickson. That may have been surpassed by Robson and Jerome's version of "Unchained Melody" though, but hopefully not!
