"More Info" is greyed out

go to the apple icon in the far left, upper corner.

go to "about this mac" (first option in drop down menu)

it will bring up a box, select the button "more info"

(this brings up a box that has all the info on ur mac)

select "disc burning" under the subhead "hardware"

there is should say something about disc reading (it will have yes or no after it) and then disc burning (it will have the types of dvds u can write to)

**only write to the dvds that are specified to be able to write to....if u write to another it has the possibility of damaging ur dvd/disc drive and u will have to get it replaced (ive done it once on a work comp...dont make the same mistake)

Go on line to the McIntosh help center. Get to the page where you can enter the model number and find out what your machine is capable of. You can also download user manuals from the site.

go to the apple menu in the upper left corner, then to 'about this mac'. click more info. you should be able to find it from there.

throw a blank dvd in there and try to write to it.

read the words on the drive, dumbass. it will say dvd rewritable...
