I went to coed elementary school and middle school, but then for high school I went to an all-girls Catholic high school, and i ABSOLUTELY loved it. I would do it all over again any day. In Junior year my parents pulled me out and put me in public school and I absolutly hated it. It was really sad because I looked forward to graduating with my all-girl class so bad, and at the graduation ceremony the girls wear these white dresses that are basically wedding dresses and hold a boquet of red roses. Its really beautiful and I was so sad to graduate from public school.
So my answer is yes, I think all girls school is wonderful and girls that dont want to go to one just dont know what its like.

No, because boys and girls don't live in separate worlds even if Men come from Mars and Women come from Venus. What is the reasoning for this anyway; men can concentrate better without women around or vice versa? Whatever the benefit of the separation of the sexes maybe perceived, I know there would be a ignorance that would happen from one gender not being around the other. There is a proverb in the Bible that says,"As iron sharpens iron so does one man sharpens another." I am glad I grew up around the fairer sex; wouldn't have it any other way!

I don't know what country you live in or what culture, but here in the U.S. I have been in both school settings. I found that social interaction between males and females is essential to a well rounded , life-long integration of social skills in interpersonal relationships. There must be social interaction between the sexes from early childhood, through adolescence, into adulthood if we are to be successful in cultivating committed marriage and child raising partnerships. With divorce rates at or above 50% on average, we have more single parent families than ever. I believe that this makes for less well adapted children, and in turn less well adapted adults. Boys and girls should be schooled together if they are ever going to be committed, loving, well adapted parents, or just well integrated professional people with good social skills.

No. They should be together. Because, if they go to separate schools, when will they be away from the fear of talking to the opposite gender. To move friendly with the opposite gender, join school system is very much necessary.

Hmmm......I think that it's better for boys and girls to experience the interaction between one another so that they don't become male chauvinists or feminists, but at the same time I think that the opposite sex can cause some serious distractions from school work.

No I think Boys & Girls should be together and be taught to get along with each other while young and accept each others differences and be able to have fun at dances without the Wall
Flowers with nothing to say. They would have happier marriages
and be able to work and live together better.

I don't think they -should- go to separate schools. I also don't think same-sex schools should be disallowed, it should be an option for kids to consider.

The traditional reason behind same-sex schools has been the idea that the opposite sex would be distracting to students, for obvious reasons. School dress codes follow the same veneer.

Society is mixed. How will the kids learn how to interact with the other sex? The aim must be to teach them to work as a team. If your question is based on their learning differences, kids within a certain gender have similar differences. In that case, you may propose using different teaching methods on different types of kids, regardless of gender.

i think that teen boys and teen girls should go to separate schools...after reviewing this site [for example] there are hundreds of teens asking about sex and should i sleep with him/her and it shocks me .....i look back 40 years ago when i was in high school and our biggest question was are you going out on friday night to the movies...what forty years does to high school students....if the teens went to separate schools, i would think that they would work on their studies instead of the silly thoughts they are having..

No. School besides teaching history, grammar, etc is the place to learn social skills. It is important to learn how to interact with the other gender, as well as other races, etc.
