Its creating Nightmares to the youngsters....The duo like each other but Astrological compatibility sucks or Manglik dosa...so further life deteriorated!! STOOP THE MENACE? Whats the truth?

Having married, it makes no difference today. It is even worse when you have to annul (which again is anti-Hindu) the marriage for these purposes. While you dont want individual people thinking, you have just done that, read your statement - "What if you fall in love with someone and then discover that you aren't compatible? Should you end the relationship because of that? It just seems wrong." Here my friend you feel it is just wrong. So I guess you should allow someone to express their individual opinion too ;-) Coming back to tradition, yes! it is a requirement that astrologically couples have to be matched (it is for their own good). Primarily, the ups and downs of life (an inevitable part of life) counter-act in couple's life. When one of the is going through a tough time of life, the partner's good time would counteract so that the impact is reduced. (This is not my opinion but the reason for why this practice exist).

first of all, there is no such thing as an astrological compatibility on this earth. hindus actually lead a very superstituous and backward life.
the whole concept of astrology flourished nearly several years ago in the harappan period when man was unable to answer some of the nature's question logically( or through science ).
building illogical ideas related to god or religion became a prevalent phenomenon at that time as it provided easy escape from certain questions. the whole subject was termed astrology and it was at that time studied with astronomy. however as the time passed, the distinctions between them became clear to the matured section of the society. the distinction is simple-
astronomy is real science based on observation and experimentation while astrology is pseudo science based on illogical ideas and false assumptions.
unfortunately many indians still believe in those false ideas and philosophy.
i can assure the you of all this. my parents didnt have the so called astrological compatibility. now they have been married for nearly 22 years and are living a prosperous life.

I think Astrological Compatibility is ok in case of Arranged Marriages becoz of tto much of a Luck factor . But in case a Boy and a girl Like each other very much , Astrology should not come in the way .

This is a sign that India is moving out of the past and into the future. It will be a painful transition and frighten some to extreme behavior out of ignorance, but in time India will evolve a more open and rational society.

I read this story one time I thought was so cute.
This couple had 4 babies born on the same day. What do they call that? quadruplets. Anyway, their personalities where totally different. No two the couple said were alike.
to me that kind of shows how foolish that is.
You can take twins raised in the same house and they are totally different. That is superstitious nonsense

Astrology is based on the positions of balls of rocks, gases and ice in space in relationship to where you were born on another ball of rock.
Does this make sense to you?
If it does, then we could give mini-astrological readings in gravel pits or quarries.
Astrology is superstition, nothing more.

Astrology may be a good sceince, but we donot have good Astrologers. you are absolutely right its creating nightmares to many ppl coz of this reason, just for earning money the astrologer says nonsense.....

they have to rely on something, they don"t know the future, so they put the blame on astrology. The stars won"t do anything.
