How about now? Don't buy maternity bras nursing bras give you exactly the same support and have exactly the same benefits. This way you have a post partum wardrobe already in stock when you delivery.

Once you give birth. The only difference between them and normal bras is that they have a snap allowing you to expose a breast without having to take off the bra. That's not needed until you are feeding the baby.

When you start lactating and leaking That can start occuring around seven months of pregnancy I know that it may seem weird but milk starts to build up that early. You might also want to talk to your doctor about when you should Otherwise you can get breast pads to prevent leakage and wear a normal bra until you go to the hospital and have the baby Good Luck and Congrats!!!

Well, if you wanna be able to open the flaps, and check on your breasts, go ahead and start now. Otherwise, there's no need to start until the baby is born! I'm sorry, I couldn't help it! Your question makes it sound like there's some magic to the nursing bra. It's just for convenience, that's all!

I would say that when you start breast feeding is when you should start wearing a breast feeding bra.

I started wearing mine when I was about 6 months pregnant...just because my boobs outgrew my normal bras and I bought some maternity ones and it saved money. Also, when your back hurts from pregnancy the maternity bras are much more comfortable than underwire ones.

congratulations on your pregnancy :)

when your boobs have made the milk........probably after the first week or 2 or maybe 3 weeks........
you'll know.......

Just make sure that when the baby is born.....let him feed off you......and NOTHING will come out.....only the colostrum....
and after EACH feeding....

use a breast pump and pump each side for 15 minutes......
total of 30 minutes......
or 15 minutes if you do both sides at the same time...

and again NOTHING will come out.....but the pump is stimulating your breasts to start making the milk.......and whatever does come out give that to your baby and supplement with formula in the meanwhile......

and when the milk comes in.....which you'll know.....cuz they'll feel like bowling balls.......get the bras and pads out cuz you'll need them!!!

GOOD LUCK!

go to kellymom.com....
great site for breastfeeding.....

You don't have to wear one until you start breastfeeding. However, if you get one that's comfortable now or if your breasts are leaking, it doesn't hurt to start wearing it earlier.
