Being a student in the late 60's, I look back on my experiences and recall them with delight. At the time it did not seem quite that much fun, but compared to what life deals you, it (at least for those of my friends that I have talked to) was the best part of their lives. Freedom to express yourself, meeting new friends, doing things that you enjoy (not talking about studying here). Some students don't have to worry about expenses - I wasn't afforded that privilege, but I appreciated my education because I had to weigh the cost. I am in the process of writing a book about my life at school and the antics that my friends and I carried out. Overall, it was the best time of life, but life is today - enjoy it while you can - even after school. You will make mistakes, but, hey, none of us has made the trip without some boo boo's. During my school stay, the most stressful thing I had to deal with was the draft for Vietnam (trying to stay in school and finish before I got drafted-I had to keep my grades up, and there was no margin for failure). Many of my friends didn't make their grades and had to go-I was fortunate to be able to complete my goal.
I said all that to say this - being a student is finding a place to fit into society. You make friends, you accomplish goals, you prepare yourself for a specific field (a job), and you find your circle of comfort (your comfort zone). I guess that's why I look back on this time as meaningful and enjoyable. I have never regretted going to school, and I have a meaningful career as a result of the time I spent. Good luck and hang in there.

Normally the students life is between 5 years to 30 years and during this age the health of the body will be perfect and can withstand any hurdles. Apart from all this as a student your job is only to study and need not worry about survival since the parents / guardians will take care of you . So what summing all the above students life is the best part of life without any commitments and without any wear & tearof both physical & mental

Oh wow! Are you talking about college? If I knew then what I know now, I would have had even more of a wonderful experience. I made a lot of mistakes; but had the most meaningful experiences ever. You have no worries, no cares - in my case, room & board was taken care of -- all I had to do was excel at my studies and enjoy the social life. Enjoy it! (Even high school was excellent! First time I fell in love, had sex, got drunk, made great friendships, established my tastes, learned pride and humility, etc.)

I've had a great life but being a student was not particularly one of the highlights - - keep a postive attitude, do what you enjoy and your days as a student will look like nothing special..

because all you have to do is to keep your grades up, and you don't have to worry about anything else, except studying.
