my windows media player won't install. any suggestions?

after trying to install a notice comes up say --- an internal application error has occured

Try redownloading the install file.

It might be due to your pluggins. first check the version you are trying to install is not older than what you have installed.
Older versions cannot be installed.
If the version you are trying to install is newer than the excisting one try uninstalling all pluggins.
