I think it can last if they make it work. My friend has been going out with her fella since the age of 13 - shes now 22 and hes 24.
My hubbies friends are both 25 and they have also been going out since the age of 13 and are getting married soon

Forever is a very long time, the universe is estimated to be 18 billion years old already but our solar system is estimated to be only 5 1/2 billion years old, forever therefore seems a little optimistic but good luck and celebrate the time you have together.

Don't even think it. You'll change partners a lot in life before the right one comes along. Never limit yourself, live your life so that you won't have regrets later. Sow your wild oats while you're young. Nothing worst than saying "If I woulda, coulda, shoulda. . " And I hate to break it to you like this, but at 16 I doubt you know what a long lasting love is. .

There is always a chance. I started dating my son's father when I was 14 and we stayed together for 12 years. We grew up and grew apart. I know some people people that have been together for 50-60 years.
It all depends on your dedication to each other.

If it is meant to last it will. My parents met at 15 and just celebrated 25 happy years of marriage. Just remember a relationship/marriage is hard work. It doesn't come easy you both have to be willing to put the time and effort needed into it.
