How would you distract me whilst I.....?

Teach myself to fly

I am attempting this by just flinging myself at the ground and at the last minute, missing, I think it is as simple as that...but am missing something somehow, cos I just end up in a crumpled heap.

I need you to distract me so I forget to hit the floor..please help, how would you distract me?

I would lead you to the edge of a cliff, where forgetting wouldn't be an option. However, you may still end up in a heap, just at a lower altitude.

No, no, no! My friend you have it all wrong! The right way to fly is not by missing the ground at all. I tried that several years back and failed miserably. The trick is to forget to fall once you have thrown yourself at the ground.

I would leave a bag made from the hide of a rabbit-like animal that you, yourself, made whilst stuck in a cave on another planet in just the right place so it caught your eye just before you hit the ground.
