No that would be janitorial work. Clerical work means in the office doing typing and filing and answering phones. U might have to do light cleaning within the office but usually not the bathroom. U might have to keep the floor in the office clean. Check out ur job description or asks ur employer what a typical day is like in ur position. Good luck and congratulations

No. I agree with I got a lot. You are hired to do cerical work and there is no clerical (office)work in a toilet. It is part of the building's facilities, unless it is to count toilet rolls, soap etc. for inventories.

If you want to keep your job you do.

I am now a corporate controller. But when I started, I had to do anything and everything and guess what??? When a promotion came up, they came to me because I was willing to work for my pay.

My pa told me a long time ago, your job is whatever your boss tells you it is, if you don't want to do the "job" find another one.

Let me guess, you live in Michigan right?

Do you have a copy of your "job description" or the ad that you answered? Your duties should be described there. It doesn't seem like an office worker should be doing cleaning jobs?!

if when you were hired they gave a job description and it does not list those chores, then i would say no you do not have to do them...if you did not get a job description then you might have to do them....if you refuse then you most likely be replaced....[the next job you get hired ,ask for your written job description to cover these types of problems.....

I've got to agree with Gem, watever your boss tells you to do is your job. Only those who do that get to move up the ladder :-)

More than likely in your job description, it states, "...and any other duties as assigned by management".
