We live in the country so to attract trick or treaters I had to get creative..
I dress up as Wanda the Witch,(modeled after the wicked witch of the west in wizard of oz) ,I stand over a smoking cauldron (dry ice)stirring & cackling..as my ol 'man whose dressed as Egor,(modeled after the hunchback of notre dame)is nearby with a black barrel filled with candy..we put signs along the highway directing people to our house,..The yard is full of decorations & sometimes my brother in law does a dracula coming out of a coffin routine,
& his ol' lady pops out of a freshly dug grave..The kids run around as ghosts or monsters..its a hoot..love doing it!

I'm hopefully taking my son our for his first Halloween. He's almost 12 months old. We couldn't find a cool, semi-scary costume for him. The only thing we could find that fit was a lion. I was hoping for a monkey at the very least. It should be fun. I want to give him all those spooky nostalgic memories that I have from Halloweens that have sadly passed.
