From what I can tell, you're borderline for Northeastern. I'm not sure you'll get in. Likewise for Temple. Your grades are only okay, and your test scores aren't very strong. You also don't seem to have any one extracurricular that you excelled at - or at least, you didn't mention one in particular.
The third school, Pittsburgh U, I don't know, so I can't speak to that school.
Do apply to Temple and Northeastern, if those schools appeal to you. If you write a strong application, including essays and recommendations, you could very well get in. But also add some slightly less competitive schools to your list.
If the Boston area appeals to you (I'm guessing because of Northeastern), then also look at Simmons College, Wheelock College, Suffolk University, Emmanuel College, Dean College, Curry College, Southern New Hampshire University, UMass Boston and UMass Dartmouth. Your scores and grades may make these schools a good fit for you, depending on what sort of school you want to attend.

What you need to do is check out the College Board website or US News & World Reports college issue, or one of the many, many college guides out there. They will tell you what the average range is for GPAs and SAT scores. Your library will have these books, or you can go to a bookstore and just look up the schools you're interested in.
How does someone who took honors classes do so poorly on the SAT and spell "alot" as one word?
I'd like to add: yes, it's not all about grades, but most schools don't give a hoot about your personality.

You did better on the ACT than you did the SAT. I dont know how hard any of those schools are to get into.
I only applied for one school, lol. I said if I didn't get into that one (Penn State) than I wasn't going to school. Thank God I got in.
If you're school is well known for it's classes and its honor courses, the 2.9 might not hurt you too much. Good luck, though.
I know Northeastern is a little tough, and I know that your SAT score doesnt add up to what they look for, but your ACT might.

Unfortunately, you will almost certainly be denied admission to Northeastern and Temple. Pitt U is not a school I know anything about so I can't say. You need a backup. Make it a public university within 100 miles of your hometown (which I assume is in PA) that has an "open-admission" policy. That means that as long as you're in state and have a GPA of something like a 2.2, you're granted admission. You can always transfer. Good luck!

id say the school you would have the best chance of would be temple. Pitt is pretty competitive as is northeastern. Look at the other Philly colleges too. such as drexel or lasalle, and Duquesne in Pittsburgh

i think you can especially if you have lots of extra activities! schools look for someone that had a wide range of i dont know... experiences? they need someone with a good personality... its not all about grades! though 2.9 seems litle lowish but im not exactly sure? and you did bettter on your ACTs!
