they are a great band and put a lot of work into their music....i think it's amazing that they actually write their music and compose everything on paper before playing it, unlike most artists that play around and if it sounds good they keep it. they work for their music and i respect them a lot

I don't think they are. They're pretty damn good. I really like their stuff, especially the Anemia album. You might make a case that Maynard is ONE OF the greatest vocalists. But, as for Tool, I don't think they are the greatest ever.

They are a damn good band. I think Danny Carey is one of the best drummers around. But I don't think they are the greatest band!

they lost the claim to that title after putting out the last album. everyone knows led zeppelin is the greatest band of all time anyway.
