Do you have an office program installed (Microsoft Office, Corel, OpenOffice, etc.)? If not, I suggest downloading and installing OpenOffice...it's free and can open virtually any type of office file (spreadsheet, document, presentation, etc.).

Getting and installing microsoft Office Excel is the best option.
Otherwise you can attach that file and mail it to yourself. Yahoo mail has an option to show spreadsheet files in html format. you'll be able to read it there.

if your computer cannot read the file means,
a)you might not have installed a spread sheet software.
(eg: Ms excel)
b)Check where any other software's support that file.check through our computer software's
c)Check whether u have downloaded the fully file.

You could have mentioned the file extention.
eg:*.exe/*.jpg

go to search option on start menu and give the file name, it will show you where it is located, open it, and also remember, whenever you download the file from which ever download option you are using, the file will be saved in that folder.
