If the USA opens the borders with countries like Canada, EU, Japan, Australia at the beginning, and with many other countries in the future, freedom will grow around the world and terrorism would lose automatically, without loss of lifes.

The US only borders Canada, Mexico, and within about 200 miles of Russia (there have been proposals to build a bridge). We are also quite close to Cuba.

Possibly you were thinking of open immigration rather than open borders.

However, the problem that the US has with the world is not one of immigration, but rather the fact that the US seems to want to spread our version of democracy. After invading Iraq, what was our goal? To have those people install a democratically elected government. Some countries believe us to be exporting democracy and capitalism, and they don't want it.

Also, some countries believe that we are actually trying to rule the world; that we are in competition with the UN, and flouting the rules of the UN. Are we? We seem to be torturing prisoners, disregarding our own laws in their care and treatment. Where our laws forbade us from doing certain things, we have changed those laws. We call countries that disagree with us complicit with terrorists.

North Korea now has nuclear weapons. The US, and the rest of the world believes that they shouldn't. What right then, does the U.S. have to forbid another country to have nuclear weapons while maintaining such an arsenal themselves? We already have the worlds' largest conventional bomb, and have been maintaining nuclear weapons for over 50 years.

Exporting our form of government and morality, forbiding other countries from doing what we do, flauting international law... these are some of the things that others hate us for, and their reason for terror. Open immigration or borders won't change that.

Ah, youth is wasted on the young, it would be nice to that nieve again. But the fact is that we do have open borders, and people come and go as they please, as long as they do it legally they have no problem, even if they don't they don't have too much of a problem. Our border policies have little if any effect on the spread of freedom in the world. The current terrorist problem is religious based, not a personal liberty issue. It is the government of other countries that set the rules in that land, not our border lines.
